Influence = Impact

Everyone wants to become a creator to make money and gain a large following, but a lot of creators are forgetting about the most important part of the equation.

When you are an influencer, you truly impact people's lives.

Yes, you can influence them to purchase a lipgloss, a vacuum or a hoodie, but you can also influence your audience to shift their mindset, start eating healthier or donate to a charity.

By the way, you can be an influencer with 200 followers of 2M followers.

The reality is, the people that follow you, trust you and are watching you for your recommendations, opinions and insights.

My bet is, your community started following you because they are either inspired by you or see themselves in you.

You might not believe me.

I get it.

Sometimes it’s hard to recognise the impact you really have.

You think you are just posting silly little videos to the internet, but to someone on the other side of the screen who is watching, they feel seen, valued and a part of something bigger than themselves when they consume your content.

I don’t care if you are a comedy creator, educational creator, mum, or small business. This applies to ALL creators.

You showing up makes a difference in the world, just naturally.

But when you actually put intention behind it, that's when you really see the power you have.

Back in 2021, Alessia & I decided to do something crazy.

We went live for 24 hours for charity, not knowing if someone would even watch let alone donate money.

By the end of the 24 hours, we had raised over $8,000.

Safe to say our mind was blown.

Not only did we all make an impact, we felt way closer to our community and when we looked back on the year suddenly how many followers we gained and how many brand deals we landed started to mean a whole lot less.

This livestream became the highlight of our year.

Along the way between 2022-2025 we ran more of these.

Sometimes encouraging mental health education rather than donations.

Sometimes encouraging volunteering.

Everytime, feeling closer and closer to our community and making more and more of an impact using our platform.

Now in 2026, we are gearing up for our sixth 24 Hour livestream in September and our donation target is $20,000. Absolutely insane.

We are telling you this story to remind you not to compare to where we are 6 years down the line, but look back on where we started.

Unsure, confused, inspired and dedicated.

From that space we were able to raise $8K and make a lot of our community members really happy in the process!

You don’t need all the answers, sometimes you just need to put it out there.

So as you grow your platform and your income in this creator space, never forget how influential you truly are.

You and your community can make a change in this world.

The question is, how do you really want to influence the people who follow you?

Our last 30 Day Challenge for 2026...
We just finished another 30 Day Challenge with an amazing group of creators. World Building is the next frontier for creators.
The top creators don’t just make content, but they build worlds too.    Kai Cenat showed this recently as he brought his idea to life for Streamer University, a literal college campus for livestreamers.  In this world, Kai was the Dean, Fanum was campus police, Markell Washington was cheer coach and even Lizzo and T-Pain made appearances as music professors.    This world had it all - location...
